Barack Obama Opposes "The Fairness Doctrine"

Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and a myriad of Democratic pols have been pushing for reinstating "The Fairness Doctrine." "The Fairness Doctrine" is anything but fair. It is just a way of suppressing free speech. It is the liberal's way of muzzling conservative talk radio. Of couse, that begs the question, what about MSNBC? PBS? the New York Times? Different view points from the entire political spectrum should be allowed, but certain speech should not be foisted on different media by the government. If "The Fairness Doctrine" were reinstated, there would be such a backlash, that it would be a war I do not think the Democrats would want.

Whatever the reason, to Barack Obama's credit, he told Fox News today that he was against the reinstatement of "The Fairness Doctrine." I give credit where credit is due. Hopefully, this will silence members of congress who continue to call for Reinstatement of "The Fairness Doctrine", and the suppression of free speech.

Bashing Oil Executives

Senator Patrick Leahy, Senator Feinstein and other stupid Democratic senators were dragged in front of Congress once again, and some of the oil executitves were even asked their salaries, public information that can be obtained free from the SEC website, public information companies are required to file annually. These are public companies, and they work for the shareholders. Maybe congress should tell us their salaries

Not one of these idiots does the obvious, drill for oil

Energy Bill authorized drilling in ANWR, but a filibuster by Senate Democrats kept the measure from coming to a vote. In 1995, Republicans prepared to take up the battle again and included a provision for ANWR in the federal budget. President Bill Clinton vetoed the entire budget and expressed his intention to veto any other bill that would open ANWR to drilling

We have plenty of other sources of oil. Had Clinton not vetoed the bill, we would have already have ramped up the drilling in ANWR, and we would have set the stage for drilling in other areas.

Kudos to Geraldine Ferraro

I don't agree with Ferraro politically, but she is right when she says that she wouldn't have been chosen for VP nominee if she were not a woman, and Obama has been helped by his blackness. Yes, Obama has charisma, and yes a lot of whites have voted for him. So, tell me why again are 90% of Blacks voting for Obama? I thought they liked Hillary. Wasn't Bill "the first black president." Or, maybe race does matter.
