As reported in the Wall Street Journal today, Pelosi should definitely be handcuffed when she returns from Syria, and so should her entourage including the Republicans who accompanied her.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may well have committed a felony in traveling to Damascus this week, against the wishes of the president, to communicate on foreign-policy issues with Syrian President Bashar Assad. The administration isn't going to want to touch this political hot potato, nor should it become a partisan issue. *yawn* The Logan Act. No prosecutions carried out under it in over 200 years. and not this time either, since no laws were broken.
No one complained when Republican congressmen were there last year, and no beefs were lodged when Darrell Issa preceded Pelosi on this visit.
Save the handcuffs for the incompetents who claim to be running the fiasco known as our Middle East policy.
